Curated Shelf Staging

I specialize in filling and staging built-in shelves, bookshelves, floating shelves, etc. Many
people love the look of built-in shelves but struggle with the process of filling them.
Whether you moved into a house with lots of shelves, or you asked your contractor for
new built-ins, appropriately filling shelves can be a real design challenge. I love this
particular challenge.

There are many tricks to filling shelves. The goal should be shelves that look full but not
overstuffed, interesting but not overly staged, coordinated but not too themed.

I frequent flea markets and estate sales finding vintage clothbound books, interesting
art, and unique design elements (planters, bowls, vases, sculptures). I mix
these unique vintage pieces with new pieces and the client’s own collections to curate a
beautiful mix that is personal and interesting, as if effortlessly collected over time.
